Annual 9/11 Flag Display in Clayton, CA

This past week, firefighters from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District's Station 11 in Clayton, finished work on their annual flag display. Each year firefighters from the station proudly put out 343 flags on the lawn representing the 343 firefighters killed in the attacks at the World Trade Center in New York. There are also 72 flags on display representing the 72 law enforcement officers killed that day as well. The annual flag display has been done since 2002 as a tribute to all the members of the fire and law enforcement communities who paid the ultimate sacrfice that fateful day. Please feel free to stop by the station to honor those who gave their lives in 2001.
