July 21, 2017 marked the ten year anniversary of the Michelle Drive fire that claimed the lives of Captain Matt Burton and Engineer Scott Desmond from Contra Costa Fire, as well as the lives of the two elderly residents of the structure. Ventura County Professional Firefighters Local 1364 is saddened to announce the passing of Fire Engineer Ryan Osler, 38, who was killed this morning while responding to the Canyon Fire on Vandenberg Air Force Base.
