This past weekend firefighters and other emergency personnel from across the State of California were activated within their CA US&R Teams to respond and assist with the rescue efforts in Texas. In all, eight CA US&R Teams were activated and are now deployed in Texas. This past week, firefighters from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District's Station 11 in Clayton, finished work on their annual flag display. Each year firefighters from the station proudly put out 343 flags on the lawn representing the 343 firefighters killed in the attacks at the World Trade Center in New York.
