nws_120814The National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco/Monterey Bay Area has issued an alert for a powerful storm system that will begin to spread rain into the North Bay by Wednesday afternoon and spread south overnight. Heavy rain, possible thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected through Thursday evening across the entire area.

Be prepared for possible widespread downed trees and power lines, urban and small stream flooding, possible flash flooding, and debris flows. Possibility of 1.5" - 3" of rain in urban areas. Possible wind gusts up to 40 mph in urban areas as well.
