Moraga Orinda Fire Chief’s offer, not quite the same sacrifice. According to a recent article in the Contra Costa Times, the Moraga Orinda Fire District Fire Chief Stephen Healy will ask the board of directors for a “temporary” 9.5% pay cut to his base salary. April 2nd, 2013 Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Fire Chief Daryl Louder announced his retirement yesterday, to be effective October 31st, 2013. Chief Louder was hired as the Fire Chief in June, 2012 after a nationwide search.
